Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (ground turkey/chicken for leaner option)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400F (190°C) if baking or heat a pan for stovetop cooking.

Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground meat, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.

Form meatballs: Roll the mixture into small meatballs, about 1-1.5 inches in diameter.

Cooking options:

Oven method: Place the meatballs on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until they’re cooked through.

Stovetop method: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through.

Serve: Enjoy the meatballs on their own or with marinara sauce (gravy, if you’re from South Philly).
